Anthony Camilleri

Non-executive Director and Chairman

Anthony Camilleri is the eldest of the founding members of the Camilleri group. He was the catalyst for the diversification of the group from confectionery and catering into retail fashion. Mr Camilleri has been in the family business for over 44 years and has over 30 years experience in the fashion sector. He has been instrumental in the expansion of the business into its current form as CEO of the Camilleri group. Anthony is president of the Valletta Merchants Street Business Community and is also a founding Governor of the Valletta Alive Foundation.

John Soler 
Non-executive Director

​

John Soler has more than 40 years’ experience in retail banking after holding several senior positions with Bank of Valletta p.l.c. He led the bank’s operations for over a decade before being appointed to the senior management team as Chief Officer Credit, with responsibility for Bank of Valletta’s lending portfolio, including consumer lending, business lending, home loans and card business. Mr Soler presently is chairman of the board of FCM Bank Ltd, and sits on the board of AX Holdings Limited and Valletta Cruise Port p.l.c. He is Chairman of the Audit Committee of AX Holdings Limited

Dr Michael Borg Costanzi

Non-executive Director

Michael Borg Costanzi is a lawyer by profession and is currently a legal adviser at Mamo TCV Advocates. Prior to joining Mamo TCV in 2015, Dr Borg Costanzi spent 35 years at Bank of Valletta p.l.c. whereby he held various senior executive roles including Chief Officer, with responsibility for Bank of Valletta’s legal office. He was also a member of the Bank’s Executive Committee and Compliance and Risk Management Committees. Between 2000 and 2009, Michael lectured banking students and law students at the University of Malta. Michael presently sits on the Board of Mediterranean Maritime Hub Finance p.l.c.

George Debono

Group Chief Executive Officer​

George Debono has over 30 years experience in the Banking industry having held senior and C-Suite positions in Retail, Corporate, Business Development and Treasury. He was entrusted with setting up Malta's first HSBC Premier Centre in 2010, then moving to leading various Corporate Banking Teams including International, Real Estate and Hotels Teams. In July 2019 he joined BNF Bank plc as Chief Commercial Officer leading the Bank to exponential growth in balance sheet and profitability of the Bank, the setting up of a branch in London, issuing of the first Bond and winning Malta's Bank of the Year for three consecutive years. George holds a Masters Degree with Distinction in International Banking and Finance from the University of Salford, Manchester. He joined Camilleri Group as Chief Executive Officer in January 2026.

Ann Micallef

Group General Manager Retail

 

Ann Micallef is the Group General Manager – Retail at Camilleri Holdings Ltd. She began her career with the company in 2003 as a Sales Assistant before moving into an administrative role while pursuing her studies at the University of Malta. In 2006, Ann joined PricewaterhouseCoopers as a Junior Associate in Audit and Business Assurance, where she gained four years of professional experience. She rejoined the Group in 2010 as Operations Manager for one of the franchise brands. By 2012, she was responsible for overseeing three fashion brands and ten local retail outlets. After serving as Operations Manager for the Group's fashion sector for three years, Ann was promoted to General Manager in 2015, where she assumed responsibility for the Group's Retail Operations and Marketing functions. Ann holds a Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy (Honours) from the University of Malta.

Alexia Spiteri

Group General Manager Procurement

Alexia Spiteri is the Group General Manager – Procurement at Camilleri Holdings Ltd., where she oversees the organization's purchasing activities across multiple divisions, supporting the company's overall strategic objectives. Her career began within Camilleri Catering, where she was responsible for managing the Group's Catering Division for fourteen years. She later held the position of Marketing Executive for six years, working closely with the Marketing Manager to develop and oversee marketing plans and campaigns across the Group's various brands. Over the past two years, prior to assuming her current role, Alexia formed part of the Group's Buying Department for fashion and apparel, further broadening her experience across the organization's operations. Alexia holds a Bachelor's Degree in Management from the University of Malta and a Master of Science in Food Management from the University of Surrey.

Christian Camilleri

Group General Manager Operations

 

Christian Camilleri is the Group General Manager – Operations at Camilleri Holdings Ltd. He brings over 20 years of experience within the company, having held a number of managerial roles across different areas of the business. Prior to his current role, Christian served as General Manager of the Group's Wholesale Division, where he was responsible for overseeing the division's operations, including business planning and budgeting, addressing customer concerns, and driving team performance to ensure efficient service and strong operational results.In his current position, Christian focuses on supporting the Group's operational strategy and ensuring the effective coordination of activities across the organization. Christian holds a Diploma in Business Management from Leicester University.
